The Company

Located in Northern New Mexico, this 25-bed Critical Access Hospital offers a full spectrum of services and programs to patients in the community and surrounding areas. They are known as an employer of choice and for clinical excellence.

The Position

Reporting to the Director of Laboratory Services, the Lab Tech is an essential member of the hospital care delivery team. The successful candidate will work a morning or early evening shift (no weekends) with occasional call. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Performing research activities and other tasks as necessary in a laboratory environment.
  • Recording observations and measurements and reports results.
  • Cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining cleanrooms and equipment.
  • Assisting with receipt and inspection of raw materials, and ordering and stocking of materials and equipment.
  • Performing a variety of tasks in a hospital laboratory services environment.

 

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will be prepared with:

  • Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology.
  • MT or MLT.
  • Working knowledge of specimen integrity and preservation.
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and common web applications.
  • Self-motivated, self-starting personality.
