The Company

 

Located in Washington, DC, this specialty hospital is a 144-bed facility located just minutes from the National Harbor waterfront. Serving the Washington, DC – Maryland – Virginia metropolitan area, it is easily accessible from the 295, 495, and 210 beltways.

The Long Term Acute Care Hospital has 82 licensed beds including 10 Intensive Care Unit beds and 72 Medical-Surgical/Telemetry beds. They are licensed by the District of Columbia and certified by the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services. The hospital specializes in providing acute care to medically complex and critically ill patients who require longer hospital stays.

 

The collocated Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility has 62 licensed beds including 12 Sub-Acute Unit beds specializing in the care of ventilator and tracheostomy dependent patients. We are licensed by the District of Columbia and rated 5 stars by the Center of Medicare & Medicaid Services. The skilled nursing facility offers a full range of individualized services from short-stay rehabilitation to long-term restorative and therapeutic care.

 

 

The Position

 

Reporting to, and with the support of the Chief Clinical Officer, the Manager of Surgical and Outpatient Services is accountable for the development, management, and coordination of the market-wide surgery program. They will have two specialty hospitals, including 4 OR suites (one open) and a growing program. Initially, inpatient surgeries will occur Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Manager will help grow the outpatient program. 

 

The Successful Candidate

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent physician relations skills.
  • Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; excellent writing and speaking skills.
  • Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • RN license (or eligible) in the District of Columbia
  • MSN, BSN or related healthcare degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a hospital-based role dedicated to surgical services.
