Medical Staff Services Coordinator
Under the general supervision of the Director of Medical Staff Services for the hospital, the Medical Staff Services Coordinator establishes and maintains open lines of communication with members of the medical and allied health staff, medical staff leadership, hospital administration, hospital management and staff employees and related offices and health agencies. This position assumes responsibility for the department’s functions in the absence of the Director.
This 300+ bed full service medical center has been an integral part of its community for more than 80 years. Centrally located on Florida's Treasure Coast, this hospital has been nationally recognized for its vascular surgery and orthopedic services. The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Associate Degree preferred in Business, Healthcare Administration, Medical Staff Services, or other related field.
- A Certified Medical Staff Coordinator is preferred. If not certified at the time of employment, certification must be obtained within three (3) years and then maintained through continuing education
- Three year’s (3) experience in hospital Medical Staff Services or Quality required or experience in similar position.
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist certification and the Provider Enrollment Specialist Certificate (PESC) desired or obtained once requirements are satisfied.
